Made in 2008, 21 is a heist movie directed by Robert Luketic. It is based on the true story of the students from MIT who form a team of Blackjack scam artists.. The lead role is played by Jim Sturgess and is that of Ben Campbell. Ben is a middle class guy that is hoping to get into Harvard by earning a scholarship. When seeing how smart he is, his math professor Micky Rosa, who is played by Kevin Spacey, asks him to join his clandestine Blackjack group made up of a few other students. In the group he teaches them the art of card counting to win hands of Blackjack.
The team learns to signal to each other in order to manipulate the game in their favor. Ben goes on to make hundreds of thousands of dollars, by winning all his games. While tuition fees was the original goal, all the winnings quickly went to his head and he veered from the boy he was to a money hungry and corrupt gambler.
As he becomes more and more self-centered and greedy he puts both his professor and team in the eyes of a justice-hungry agent in the form of Cole Williams, played by Laurence Fishbourne. Williams has his eyes on prof. Rosa, so we watch a series of events undo everything the group has learned and earned.

This is an all-time classic that cannot go unmentioned. This all time classic movie takes movie goers and gambling lovers alike on a true journey of all things casino. No 3. Casino Royale
How could we not include a Bond movie when the dapper agent has visited all the best casinos around the world over the years and known to dabble in some Baccarat from time to time. With probably the most casino-centric being Casino Royale follows the exploits of James Bond, Daniel Craig, as he tries to defeat a gambling loving criminal, namely Le Chiffre portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen. The movies villain is known to supply terrorists with financial backing.
Here we see 007 head to Madagascar, where he learns after his handlers MI6 discovers Le Chiffre is looking to play in a high roller game of cards. Bond is sent to beat him and take all his money.

Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro are a dynamic duo, as they were in Goodfellas, but this movie has something edgier and more intense to it. While it can be classified by some as violent and at times a bit crass, it tells the story as it is. It lifts the scab of glamour from the gambling world and shows its true grit.
It is nothing short of a masterpiece. Taking place in 1975, we see the bookie Sam Rothstein, played by De Niro, known as otherwise going by the nickname Ace, become the head of the Tangiers casino for the mafia in Las Vegas.
Sam who has a checkered past same takes on the legitimate role of casino boss, but as the movie progresses we see him getting caught up in all sorts of shenanigans which are far removed from a casino boss.
He in the interim hires an old friend,Nicky, played by Joe Pesci, as his bodyguard.
They play out a rather disgruntled partnership throughout the movie while Nicky has his own agenda to be a mafia boss and putting the whole operation in danger with his crass disposition.
Sam also has another relationship drama when he marries Ginger McKenna, played by Sharon Stone, a person he knew was a streetwise addict. But he loved her and turns a blind eye to her doings.
